CDC Question 2

INSIDE & OUTSIDE

These two words came to mind as I thought about questions for the time of Connecting During Corona (the other CDC). It seems right to have a question that relates to the outside of us, i.e. our physical lives and relationships, while also having a question that relates to the inside of us, i.e. our spirit, our character, our soul, our emotions, our hearts.

So the challenge for me and for my family is to connect to both the outside and inside of ourselves, because both matter. We are mostly more comfortable with the outside questions. They are easier to access and more common to talk about.

But the inside is the internal system that really determines how the whole operates. It’s the root system that determines the fruit of the tree. The hard drive that runs the computer. So let’s be brave and ask questions that go underneath the hood and give space for what is there.
